yes, it surprised me to when I experienced this effect since I know that it is commonly used for dementia. I have been experimenting with 2-10 mg daily. The higher I go on it, the more it seems to be a problem. I see the source of my lack of word retrieval as a problem with the ability to free associate and not actual memory dysfunction. it's very frustrating though!
