i was on lamictal and had to go off cuz of it making me have horrible mood swings and i just couldn't take it anymore. so the doc said just stop taking it and lets try lithium. so i did. a couple days on lithium then one afternoon i got so sick. out of the blue my stomach starts to cramp. i start to feal weak, dizzy, unsteady on my feet. then my vision starts to go. i could barely walk. we were at walmart. it got to a point where everything around me felt like a dream, not really there. my husband carried me to the car and we went home. i laid down for awhile and felt a bit better. that night i decided not to take the lithium. the next morning i felt silly and took it. i ended up calling the pharmacist after my husband talking me into it and he sujested i call the doc. i haven't took it since and i'm still feeling sick. not as bad but i still feel unsteady. i can't eat without ending up in the bathroom and having major cramps. i feel lightheaded. is this from the lithium or lamictal? also, is it possible to feel better after only two days on the lithium? i'm taking it for depression bipolar. no mania, just depression. but the crap i went through with the lamictal, being off of it was heaven in itself.
