I am confused by some of your wording, I am on your team ! I am sick of Public Citizen and Dr. W. acting like they represent everyone, they do not, half the people signing their petitions if not most of them, are probably not even people that suffered depression and felt the relief from Serzone/Nefazodone. I want us to have our own chice, we understand the risk. Email Public Citizens, or the FDA tell them your personal concern, maybe if enough of us do they will try to get it off the market, but still agree that we long termers should have the freedom to use a med that worked for us, and it should be available for us through our Doctors, and we should get our livers tested every 3 months or so. I do not want any new people to ever die from this medicine, or long term users, BUT we still need to have our own freedom to have this available for us if that is all that worked. I got jobs, numerous responsibilities, a life again, to me at this point I am REALLY upset that pressure groups, and lawyers can ruin my whole life for me, and send me into BRUTAL Serzone/Nefazodone withdrawal, and yes I have tried to get off of Serzone after 3 years, and it was really scary, and most Docs agreed I would be taking this the rest of my life, it has a short half life, and for me when I tried reducing it got progressively worse as each day passed with aches pains etc. then when regular dose was back I felt fine. I am now 8 days on the GENERIC, the GENERIC is good, I had some aches and weird sensation as I adjusted to the new Generic, but they passed and this seems to be as good as the Serzone, and we ALL need to email whoever we need too, to let them hear our side. I mean should my Doctor say Generic is getting yanked, and I have a short time to get off of it after 7 years, I am honest when I say it will disrupt me to the point of not working etc. and who knows what else. Again I understand Public Citizens not wanting new people to die from liver failure, BUT this is potentially life threatening to yank people off a medication that has worked, and send them back to a market of Anti- Depressants that don't work for the individual. SOMEONE PLEASE HEAR US AND HELP US !!! Let this Med be available for people, even if they have to sign a waiver. All we want is our freedom to use what works for us, and function normally in everyday life. I took the Med faithfully, positive thinking, excercise etc, all so much work to get where I am today, PLEASE Public Citizens don't ruin me by pushing for a ban on it. If Dr. W was in my shoes and felt the benefit of this medicine, and all the hard work to get to this stable point, Dr. W would not want to have it yanked for alreadyt users.
