> hi all....as is well-known, my acumen in re: SSRI/SRI/etc. is lacking. had a good run with luvox about 7 years ago, and am considering a trial. my refs are scant, and i know there are other posters who can give me the up-and-up. comments? many thanks, chemist

Well...as a former Luvox user, I say it has some more sedating qualities, but different than Paxil-type.(which seems to promote more of a 'sluggish' sedation.) I believe that Luvox increases melatonin transmission, and I think this is important, as new medications I noticed are in the 'pipeline' that act on melatonin. I'd say start low, and try a early-evening dose. Please report back how you made out!

Best,
Jay
