Paxil Withdrawls-switching to Lexapro

Posted by silvertonguejen on May 25, 2004, at 9:39:03

I am switching from 40mg Pail to 10mg Lexapro right now. I weaned off the Paxil for two weeks, cutting down to 20mg the 1st week, then 10mg the 2nd week. I didn't have any withdrawl symptoms until going completely off the Paxil and starting the Lexapro, which was Friday night. I have had a weird hungry feeling combined with nausea and a headache. I feel like my blood sugar is way down all the time (like after you wake up from a long nap and crave sugar). Has anyone else felt this way, and how long does it last? I had thought the Lexpapro would help ease the withdrawls from Paxil, rather than just going off SSRI's completely, but the Lex doesn't seem to be helping, or doing much of anythng yet, for that matter. Just wondering what others have experienced.
