Greetings.
I have been suffering with life-threatening anxiety (GAD) for years now. Recently I tried Xanax for the 1st time and I feel that it, along with my other meds (Adderall for ADHD and Zyprexa for anxiety, depression & bipolar) has helped considerably. Last week my doctor switched me from Xanax to Klonopin at my request. Oddly enough, I`ve been on Klonopin extensively in the past 5 years and never thought it worked. And before you ask, I made the switch for all the usual reasons.
My question is;
What might I try to augment the effect of the Klonopin on my more difficult mornings? While on the Xanax I would occasionally take two when I woke up. Also, I`ll take an extra Adderall ONLY ON DAYS WHEN I REALLY NEED IT to combat terrible anticipatory anxiety.
What about taking a Xanax in addition to the Klonopin?
BTW, taking more Klonopin may be an option, but my therapeutic dose is already mildly sedating, a problem I didn`t have with the Xanax. However, therein lies the beauty of the Adderall- it keeps me awake and doesn`t disturb my sleep cycle. Typical of an amphetamine/stimulant which many take for narcolepsy.
Thats all!
Any feedback would be most appreciated.Sincerely,
Bob
