> THANKS!!!!hello, chemist here....the half-life elimination of clonazepam is far greater than gheld posted, ranging from 19 to 50 hours. what is targeted via use of gc-ms (and, increasingly, tandem gc-tof-ms) is the active metabolite, 7-aminoclonazepam. see Negrusz et al., Anal. Bioanal. Chem. 376:1198-1204 (2003) for evidence of the active metabolite appearing in 10 subjects given a single dose of 3 mg clonazepam. the metabolite was detected in all subjects at 14 days after dosing; 8 of 10 were positive at 21 days; 1 subject was positive at 28 days. the 12-20 hour figure is incorrect. in my opinion, 1 month at minimum is in the safety zone....please let me know if this helps, all the best, chemist
