It was very helpful in my cessation of quiting booze- it blocks the 'high' from things that we humans like to and tend to abuse. I don't really see how it would be addictive at all. You *cant* abuse anti-abuse drugs! My guess is that your doc. may be using it in attempt to help you quit using food as a drug--- just my thoughts though!

What I was meaning to say was I wanted to use Naltrexone for overeating and to help with my turning to food now rather than your average "drugs" to comfort me emotionally. I just read somewhere that they were thinking Naltrexone would help in obesity also. Also, I didn't know if it was safe to mix with antidepressants because nowhere on the web does it say so. If you can help I would appreciate it. Thanx!
