I was hospitalized a year ago for a suicide attempt. My best friend of 34 years was having an affair with my boyfriend/fiance of 11 years. They were the two people I was the closest to in my life. I had just had a brain aneurism repaired and a week later a blood clot blocked my leg and they caught it just in time. I found out during my recovery. I also have thyroid disease and was told I had Lou Gehrigs Disease. I don't have it after all but didn't know it at the time. They claimed I was making mountains out of mole hills but I recently found out they have been fooling around all along. I just got home from my second trip to the hosp. This time no attempts on my life just pure sadness and loss.
I am now taking Hydrocodone 4 times daily for pain
Synthroid, Seroquel, 2 25mg. tabs 3 times daily, Clonapin, 3 times daily, Topamax,100 mgs daily, Zonegran, 100mgs daily, Lexapro, 20 mgs. daily, plus Premarin and 3 different blood pressure pills and a once weekly osteoporosis pill.
Does this seem like excessive medication for someone who the pdoc said is grieving like the death of a close loved one? He said it would take a year to get on with life in a normal way the same as when someone dies. I feel really over medicated and just would like some opinions
Thanks
