You may note a preference from one or the other, or you may be one of the, what is it, 3-5% of white caucasians who poorly metabolize amphetamines, and require higher doses? Anyway, the PDR goes up to 40mg as a reasonable dose, so I wouldn't exactly blame the drug when you're taking a dose I never (or my doc) bothered to trial before.

>Thanks! I was on 1omg methylphenidate QID, for a total of 40 (sometimes 50)mg per day. Isn't the "maximum" daily dose of Adderall supposed to be 40mg? If so, are you suggesting I take 20mg twice a day instead of 10mg four times a day?
Thanks again for your response. I am Caucasian, btw, so perhaps I am a poor metabolizer. All I know is that with Ritalin, I could really "feel" my mind become centered, focused, and motivated when I took 10mg. But 3 1omg Adderalls spread throughout today have done nothing but make me feel a bit like I drank too much coffee (i.e., acid stomach, a bit nervous, and generally unwell). Thanks again for your reply.
