I've tried SAMe but it didn't affect my mood. It did seriously affect my wallet since it's not cheap. A source of reliable information on psychotropic drugs states that only intravenous SAMe has proven to be somewhat effective in treating depression. The oral form of SAMe is not much, or at all, better than placebo, and it's too expensive. Save your money.
