Yes, the irritability goes away after a couple of weeks. Cutting down on caffeine should help with the hand tremors. There are smaller doses of WB...you could be starting it at 100mg. Everytime your doctor raises your dose, you will feel the irritability come back.

After the irritability goes away, I usually go through a period of wonderful energy. but then that wears off too. I am told that this is when the real AD properties of WB kick in.

In any case, never cut the pills in half because they have a special coating that provides for the slow release. If you break it, it won't be slow release anymore.

I have recently started taking the XL version of WB. It's GREAT!! No more having to remember the afternoon dose!!! (I currently take 300 mg and have been on WB at various doses since 1999).
