I feel much better now, other than the insomnia I seem to be ok. I have to increase my dose at the end of this week though, so I'm a bit worried about where that is going to leave me. I was told that the anti-anxiety aspect of the med. kicks in almost immediately while the anti-depressant takes a while longer to stabilize the depression. I also notice that I have been a less motivated to exercise, maybe just because I don't feel as high strung? Who knows. What has your experience been?

Effexor becomes energizing as you increase the doseage, however, you must monitor your blood pressure as it will creep up with higher doses. I went to 300mg which gave me a good boost, it actually made it easier to do things, but it affected my memory greatly which I could not tolerate, so I went back to 225mg. Side effects for me have been nausea, insomnia & anorgasmia, so I got Remeron added to fix these problems. I think Effexor is pretty good once you get over or around the side effects. :)
