I feel much better now, other than the insomnia I seem to be ok. I have to increase my dose at the end of this week though, so I'm a bit worried about where that is going to leave me. I was told that the anti-anxiety aspect of the med. kicks in almost immediately while the anti-depressant takes a while longer to stabilize the depression. I also notice that I have been a less motivated to exercise, maybe just because I don't feel as high strung? Who knows. What has your experience been?

Effexor has made me as happy as I have ever been, however, I had zero motivation before taking it & I still have zero motivation. Effexor becomes energizing as you increase the doseage, however, you must monitor your blood pressure as it will creep up with higher doses. I went to 300mg which gave me a good boost, it actually made it easier to do things, but it affected my memory greatly which I could not tolerate, so I went back to 225mg. Side effects for me have been nausea, insomnia & anorgasmia, so I got Remeron added to fix these problems. I think Effexor is pretty good once you get over or around the side effects. :)

Cheers,
Panda.
