I have always experienced weight gain on Parnate. What would always happen, is that I'd lose weight during depression as a result of not eating. I'd bottom out, then start the Parnate, experience increased appetite+sugar and carbohydrate cravings. Then I'd try to satisfy these cravings with lots of snacks and pastries. My weight would rise at a fast rate and I'd more or less regain all that I'd lost. At the plateau, the cravings would more or less disappear, although by nature I'm a lover of sweets (mostly chocolate, cookies, cakes).
That's been my experience but I know from all the postings on this board that weight gain is an exception; most people lose weight as a side effect. There's only one way to find out how it will affect you!
