I'm on 30mg Marplan, working great after five years of various trials of anything and everything. I'm grateful for each new day, however, I'm experiencing absolutely horrendous nightmares which are so increadibly real, I can't even begin to explain. In addition, I'm on Seroquel for sleep (500mg's), and am unable to wake up, even as I feel my body writhing and shaking in terror.
All my nightmares involve me being devastatingly depressed again, in a constant state of panic, and somehow sensing that I'll never be able to feel better again. It's absolutely dreadful. Are these post-traumatic stress symptoms?-(my four years in college were spent in my dorm room in bed, increadibly depressed and terrified of people. I wasn't eating, sleeping, etc. Basically not functioning, and suffering terribly every day for four years).
Any similar experiences? What do you suggest? Should I up the dose of the Marplan? What's the highest dose of Marplan you've heard of someone taking? (I've taken monster doses of tricyclics, ssri's, and maoi's before and didn't have many bad side effects to speak of, so I am tolerant of high doses).
Thank you,
Matt
