Beta Blockers are about as good as it gets AFAIK.
I take toprol XL, an extened release formulation at at very low dose 12.5mg/day.
Beta Blockers block the effects of stimulants, with minimal effect on the central effects.
Propranolol seems to be a favorite among Pdocs; I got the Toprol from my GP.
> Methylphenidate 10 ER once daily has drastically changed me into a very patient, rational, calm, caring person. I was soo shocked at its effect that I almost cried! However, the one downside is that it races my heart which is uncomfortable. How can I fix this? Are there ways to do such WITHOUT affecting the "brain" effect of this medication? Please Help!
