? about Paxil

I'm 25, male, in good health, and 99% sure I have Social Anxiety. I was wondering about Paxil, and medicines like it. How does it work? Say I take it for 6 months, will the SAD symptoms come back immediately or will they go into remission, so to speak. I've read about the side effects and was wondering that since I'm healthy and young, will the side effects be lessoned or not there at all? Thanks.
