I would occasionally have night sweats when I slept. Effexor can make you sweat too.
How long was your break between going off Effexor and restarting it? Sometimes these drugs can react in strange ways. I've heard of them being less affective after restarting so a change/increase in side effects wouldn't surprise me. Try to hang in there and if they don't improve, discuss with your doctor. It's only been three days so hopefully things will level out.
