I can't beleive you are responding to my post from 3 years a go! Nature's Rx was discontinued because of a law suit. When tested, it had no SAM-e at all! I think it had a lot of caffeine and that's why it gave me a boost.
I currently am doing very well on 30 mg of Lexapro. I also take ginseng which helps combat tiredness and sexual side effects. And Ashwagandha at night which is calming.
There is lots on info on SAM-e (real SAM-e, not what I took), and herbs on the psychobabble alternatives site.

I started experimenting with alternatives (SAM-e + kava + st.john's wort) and became manic (really more mixed state) this fall and winter. Now I'm only on 200mg. of "nature's rx" SAM-e, but am finding that about an hour after taking it I am shaky, panicy, feel like I'm gonna crawl out of my skin--almost like the akathisia I used to experience on SSRIs.
