I couldn't find anything on Medline or Google that addressed this issue. I could find no recommendations as to how to treat Effexor-induced hypertension. Nor could I find anything describing a contraindication between Effexor and any hypertensive agent. I'm not a doctor, but I can't think of any reason why you couldn't treat the hypertension produced by Effexor with a antihypertensive medication. Just ask your doctor to do his homework.

Do a few searches on the Internet for yourself. You might be a better Googler than I am!
