Effexor side effects 8 wks after starting the med?

8 wks or so after starting effexor I started experiencing side effects. Took me a while to even figure out they might be from the effexor. Went to the Effexor website and have experiences 10/16 of the side effects listed in the last 5 days. Anyway, my Dr. says it may be that my body is metabolizing the drug way too fast and I'm experiencing withdrawal. huh? Call me simple minded but I am baffled. I am currently on 150mg 1x day. So she wants me to take 75mg a day until I can get in to see her (It's Thurs. so we're talkin' 4 days at least.) meantime we're talking twitches, tremors, and vision problems (can't focus, looks fuzzy, squint a lot) those are the ones I can't live with. Has anyone heard of this? It sounds wacky to me. Help!!!
