NO synthase Good or Bad

Paxil decreases NO synthase, and NO synthase inhibitors are potentially antidepressants. But on the other hand, neuroprotective compounds like deprenyl and garlic increase NO synthase production.

WHo knows more about NO synthase and whether we want more or less.
