Hi forum members,
I could use a recommendation. I was under way too much stress for way too long that culminated in a complete nervous breakdown. It took me 3 years to recover during that time I had much rest, healthy diet, vitamins, exercise, 10mg Celexa per day, and ativan as needed. I am completely off all drugs today and recovered. I did not like the side effects of Celexa at all and felt it gave me trembling left hand and brought it's own type of anxiety with it. I prefer not to use Ativan as it is addicting and I built a tolerance too it during the time I took it though I took it in .5 and 1 doses only as needed (not every day).
However, recently political issues at work have been causing anxiety, worry, and insomnia (yes I'm writing this at 5:30am). I've taken very small doses of ativan as needed to take the edge off and help me sleep .5 but could use something else I think. Buspar looks like it sucks to me from what people tell me. My doctor suggested maybe a mild mood stabilizer. What would you suggest for a mild mood stabilizer?
