In reply to Lexapro and headaches?, posted by Scott in Vermont on April 16, 2004, at 9:51:23
I have chronic headaches and find ibuprofen to work the best of the OTC meds I've tried.
If you're looking for something stronger and are willing to take another prescription med, the tricyclic AD nortriptyline is quite effective. It also has antidepressant properties (rather different from those of the Lexapro), is quite cheap, but is also somewhat sedating--it is generally taken at bedtime.
