Lexapro and your period

Has anyone experience that Lexapro is not as effective the week before your period? I have been on it almost a month and I feel good with no side-effects whatsoever but every month the week before my period I get obsessive thoughts and an increase in axiety. My doc suggested taking 15mg during that week and then going back down to 10 after its over. Anyone else experience this?
