Lofepramine is what is called a prodrug, that is, a drug precursor. Its major metabolite is desipramine, so this would accomplish essentially the same thing as taking desipramine directly. I found desipramine had some utility for my ADD symptoms and was one of the more tolerable meds I've tried. Of course, YMMV.Todd
