I've definitely beaten very severe social phobia (avoidant personality disorder) which was accompanied by agoraphobia, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive personality disorder, major depression, and ADD. I've tried everything out there (yes, including MAOIs and narcotics). What finally worked for me was a combination of high-dose clonazepam (8mg/day) and Adderall XR 60mg/day. I recently added Prozac 40mg onto my regimen and have achieved complete remission! The clonazepam and Adderall were definitely the main players in bringing me back to "normal", though -- the benzo rid me of my anxiety, and the Adderall makes me want to socialize. It's great!
By the way, I've been taking the clonazepam for over three years and the Adderall for over six months (and before that I was treated with dextroamphetamine for several months). I take dextromethorphan to prevent amphetamine tolerance, and my Adderall works just as great now as it did the first day I took it. Same goes for the clonazepam.
