My doc prescribed it to augment or "boost" Effexor. It seemed to help. I had reached the therapeutic ceiling (375mg) and my doc didn't want to go higher as I was having some potentially serious problems. I've also and am currently using the combination of Wellbutrin and Effexor in the same manner. It's just an interesting fact that the Cytomel would have the effect.
