Take anything anyone says out there with a grain of salt because pharmacy owners probably try to influence people online through them.
i have never bought from Canada, but make sure your meds come in blister packs and original bottles. I see more reason to believe there is counterfeiting from overseas operations that specialize in controlled substances. viagara and steroids.However, any drug can be counterfeited and anticonvulsants have definitely been.
Look for online articles about Canadian pharmacies from reputed news outlets {they will list the names of some phramacies like ones that have either been closed up or maybe have been doing well and are well established}, and don't go near one that doesn't care about prescriptions or does consultations over the phone or online.
