Hi:
>>>> I think my main problem is obsessional thinking that leads me to feeling depressed. I can be really happy at times but, inevitably, I start feeling anxious and that leads me into depression. This is my observation, anyway. <<<<---- It sounds like you have DEFINITELY Bipolar II as reading the description of your moods swings, Depressive moods and Hypomanic(minor form of manic). OCD and Anxiety might be a 'Biproduct' from Bipolar II since I, Bp II have those, ... not often, but occassionally when my stress level hits hard. ----
>>> can you have multiple mood swings within a day? Is this what is referred to as ultra rapid cycling? I seem to have at least two or three mood swings each day.<<<<
---In my case, I have EXACT symptom as yours, ... as to 'multiple mood swings within one day's period, for this it's called, 'ultra rapid cylcer, ... officially named, 'Bipolar II with ultra rapid cylcer. ----
