Provigil - sleep troubles

Posted by PsychoSage on April 7, 2004, at 0:49:20

Does anyone have wildly vivid active dream sleep on Provigil? My dreams are worse than nightmares, and I have experienced this before but just not night after night.

Does anyone take anything that helps make Provigil sleep calm and restful? I have no trouble falling asleep whenever or having 8 hours of sleep, but the quality is not so great.

What would be good to help my sleep soundly? Sleep should not be scary. I took ativan before bed for a large chunk of last year, but I don't like the fact that if I took it I had to stick with it or my body would crave the sound sleep or I would have a day or two of uncomfortable withdrawal. I also ate in the middle of the night a lot on it.

Is Trazadone any good? I have seen my friend take it, and she woke up in the middle of the night to eat too even though it's not a benzo. I took it once ever only while in a psych ward. It helped, but I wonder if it would cause unwanted effects. I shy away from serotonergic drugs now, but it's not supposed to be as potent.
