Hi Bookgurl,

That's how I felt when I took my first Lex. Although, it's strange that your body is having that reaction even though you've taken it before. Wait for a few days to see if things don't improve. You might try taking a benzo to try and slow down the rapid heart beat. The nasea will pass. All of what you're experiencing are very common side effects.

When you first started taking Lexapro were you on any other medications? Sometimes people who are taking another SSRI when they switch to Lex don't experience as many side effects, that might be why you didn't feel this way when you began taking it.
