will taking zoloft always cause mania in bipolar?

Posted by SDA on April 1, 2004, at 1:23:52

I'm currently taking zoloft at 75mg for depression. Based on what I've found on the internet, I'm beginning to suspect that I have some form of bipolar disorder. I've also heard that zoloft can trigger mania in a bipolar person. If taking zoloft for a few weeks hasen't triggered any mania yet, is it safe to say that I'm not bipolar?
