Klonopin dosing to avoid dumb effect

I take about 2mg of Klonopin and have taken 1 at night and 1 at noon. This proved to be too much and I have found about 1 1/2mg works okay (I think). How are most people dosing their klonopin to avoid the dumb effect (I mean no memory). Would it be best to dose all at night?
