Hi,
I need to take an SSRI for my OCD. Someone on my OCD chat room said that they had much less dreaming when on Lexapro, as compared to Prozac. What do think of this ?
Thanks,
Dave

How about taking all my med in the morning or at nite? Or, taking a long acting BZ before I go to bed to suppress my dreaming? Or, taking a low dose of TCA to suppress my dreaming? Or anything else?

A 5HT-2 antagonist would be the first thing to try to mitigate this effect, as it is probably mediated by excessive stimulation of 5HT-2 receptors.

Next I tried Effexor which is heaps better but I had trouble sleeping, got the doc to give me Remeron & I've been having sweet dreams ever since. They are still vivid, but pleasant. Remeron's primary action is major H1 blockade which causes sedation & a calming affect. Remeron also blocks 5-HT2A, 5-HT2C, 5-HT3 & Alpha-2 NE receptors.
