> ello, can anyone tell me if my symptoms are normal for efexor. i have been on zoloft for 10 years and have tried unsuccessfully about 7 times to come off....i usually go abit mad even if i wean off and go onto another med. i am now on my 6th day of efexor ONLY....no zoloft....the side effects sheet i received with efexor meds are rather broad...."nervousness"....ermmm....my mind is racing and i am feeling insecure, tearful, over sensitive. i fear i am going to ruin the greatest relationship i have ever been in by acting like pshycho chick. I dont mind the dry mouth, etc...just the nutty brain. i am changing meds in consultation with the psychartist (first few times seen her, usually only see GP and psychologist)i was on 100mg Zoloft and cut down to 50mg zoloft and 37.5mg efexor for 7 days. then stopped zoloft and increased to 75mg efexor.....the nutty side effects only seemed to occur once i had stopped the 50mg zoloft...i stopped zoloft because of the blunted/emotional constipation feeling....but now it feels as if the stuff that zoloft bottled up - its now all coming out all in one big go ! i just suffer from depression and dont get anxiety attacks etc....thanks a mil xxxxx

Hi,

I get anxiety & hypomania when I increase my Effexor doseage, I use Valium to calm me down for a week or two until I get use to the new level of Effexor.

Cheers,
Panda.
