Losing Weight After Effexor XR

Has anyone had success losing weight AFTER Effexor Xr. I gained approx 30 lbs in a year and a half on Effexor XR. Today is my second day of NO EFFEXOR XR!!!! Can I look forward to dropping these unwanted pounds?
