Hi Emily,

I know exactly what you mean about the feelings of unreality. Like Lexy suggested, they could be caused by the Lexapro...if that's the case it should go away soon. Give it another week or so.

Another option is that it's caused by anxiety. When I had feelings of unreality on Lexapro it wasn't the Lex causing it, it was a panic attack. The Lex kept it from turning into a full blown panic attack so I just had the symptoms of one. (i.e. the feeling of not quite knowing where I was etc...) If that's the case, you might want to look in to increasing your Lex or Xanax dose.
