Sulpiride itself is an antidepressant and it seldom causes depression. Low doses will calm you in a unique way with an increased alertness. I have used it for anxiety and would like to say it was the best medication to my anticipatory anxiety. The dose should be adjusted to the lowest effective level. 100mg daily will often do the job. Not more than it. But there was a downside for me. After using it for a couple of weeks it made my sleep much deeper and my sleep was a half coma like experience. I left it because of it, but still like to take it because apart from that strange side effect there was virtually nothing wrong with sulpiride.
