Just curious, but were your emotions on a rollercoaster before starting Lexapro? It could be that your dose isn't high enough to be effective. Try calling your pdoc (so you won't have to leave the house) and see what she says about a possible increase.

I was on 10 mgs of Lexapro and felt fine for a few days but then I'd have a mild panic attack. I thought it was the Lex causing it, but it turns out my dose just wasn't high enough. I increased to 15 mgs and haven't had a single panic attack since. (Sorry if I've told you this already...)

I'm sorry you're having a rough day, the good news is that it will pass. In the meantime do something relaxing and nice for yourself.

PS Prozac is a great med for helping to get your negative thoughts under control. You might want to look in to it if you decide that Lexapro isn't the right med for you.
