I was on Zoloft 150mg's about three years ago. My medical doctor told me to "Just stop it cold turkey". It was a miserable feeling. I took advice from people on these boards who experienced the same thing and I went back on the Zoloft and began to taper slowly. Very slowly. I did experience the "brain zaps" but they did go away after two months. I began to feel much better. It can be done even if it is uncomfortable for awhile. I do believe this med is very helpful for some but I needed to switch to another med especially after being diagnosed BPII. I am on meds for that and finally am feeling much more level and less depressed. Good luck and don't forget to talk to your MD about this.
