They could, it really depends upon your chemistry.
They probably could, to varying degrees. For depression alone, it's probably best to simply take the Wellbutrin alone if you like its effects. However, if you're trying to lose weight, perhaps switch to Tenuate (diethylpropion)? Good luck getting a doctor to replace your Wellbutrin with it, though, or prescribe it long-term for depression. I've never taken it, and can only say that it's probably as good an appetite suppressant as amphetamine. Also, do not take it with Wellbutrin. They're so similar that it might increase the seizure risk.I believe Wellbutrin is slightly thermogenic in and of itself; perhaps you should just be honest with your doctor and try upping the dose with diet and exercise. Taking stimulants (especially OTC ones) + Wellbutrin is something that, unless you are an experienced stimulant user, you should talk over with your doctor. The risk of high blood pressure, etc. is very real.
