In reply to Looks like Xanax long term for me!!!!, posted by ace on February 15, 2004, at 20:37:14
I find that xanax blows away most of the confusion I usually have in my head. I find it also mood-enhancing. It helps also with concentration I think, I don't know if this can mean that I have trouble with concentration because I'm anxious about concentrating. I think it helps also with my prostatis that maybe is stress-related or has something to do with muscle's tensions. After ten years of antidepressants trials I just can't stand the idea that xanax is a solution for my problems. I would feel cheated if it were so.
I can also fail to understand the difference between the addiction to benzos and what happens with antidepressants. If you try to stop an antidepressant you're likely to suffer a lot, and the same happens with benzo (or so they say). So, what's the difference ? Is it just a linguistic issue ? The more I experiments with this stuff the more I understand the psychiatrists are shooting in the dark ... this really scares me, I don't like to be the doctor of myself.
