Re: tinnitus caused by antidepressents » Bill Bartke

In reply to tinnitus and nerve pain caused by antidepressents, posted by Bill Bartke on January 8, 2004, at 17:04:56

i have suffered deafening tinnitus caused by both the withdrawal of an ssri and also introduction of the wrong ssri, or brainchem medication.

Posting here was the closest i have ever come to achieving possible directions to research for the causes and remedies. All MDs, PhDocs, and PMHNPs have denied the intensity of the tinnitus as being debilitating, if at all worth mentioning as anything more important than my own annoying whining.

In the end, a good long "pharmaceudical toxicity cleanse" assisted by a ND (Natureopath) collaberating with an enlightened Pdoc & Psychologist turned out to be the only successful rescue for me. We could then begin again from an' even playing field'.

To peruse those previous posts, try using the keywords 'tinnitus', 'ear screeeeing'(spelling?), and even my own name(above)
with the 'google Dr.Bob search' below. Also research copper levels/tinnitus info throughout the 'net.

Best of luck to you,
Escher
