I agree--a light box will take more than two weeks to start working if you are already in the throes of depression, and that it is best to use it preventively. With depression already in action, it will take longer. Plus, make sure you are using the light box correctly and sufficiently. I think a lot of people use it but for only a fraction of the time they need to, etc.

As for meds, I guess one thing it depends on is your symptoms. Are you having so called 'atypical' symptoms? Hypersomnia, etc.?
