Staying up for three days or more in a sensory deprivation chamber produces all of the hallucinations and altered consciousness that LSD does--with none of the euphoria.
A word to the wise: if you do attempt this, have someone around you to make sure you don't lose it at the 72-hour mark and beyond. You _will_ start to hallucinate at some point; if you are not comfortable "tripping" this will be disconcerting, to say the least.
As an aside, people think chronic amphetamine use drives you crazy. I'm confident, however, that most cases of that are actually the result of sleep deprivation beyond 24 hours coupled with poor nutrition and dehydration.
