I'm under tremendous stress right now. Last week I actually felt a panic attack getting away from me for the first time in a decade! I took 1 mg of ativan and was calmed so that I didn't have to visit an emergency room. It was like having a bad trip and being able to come down before I totally lost it. I hope I can put in place more long term or preventative strategies so that I don't have to make a habit of it, but to know it's there when needed is comforting.
