> I think I might have S.A.D. I live here in Seattle, WA were the winter months are dark rainy miserable times. I am currently on Effexor, but lately have gone into some down moods, this seems to happent to me every winter and then as soon as the sun appears in spring it is like my eyes all the sudden open. Maybe someone can tell me more about light therapy how much does it cost etc. My doctor appears to know absolutley nothing about this and doesn't do anything but give me a pill.
Hello, there is a tremendous amount of literature to support the idea of SAD. GO back to the many links in reference to it and you will find the answers you seek. IN the meantime, Check into Webmd enter Seasonal affective disorders and the links will lead you to reputable full spectrum light therapy manufacturers. Most systems are very affordable in comparison to medication costs. Aerobic exercise also helps immensely]
Webmd just released a short blurb on winter blues which may hook you up as well. Regards. Micro
