Start low and go slow. If you can get by with a very low dose of Wellbutrin, that would be good when combining with Effexor. The combo can significantly increase norepinephrine (and serotonin), which can lead to increased irritability and mood swings. Effexor can be hard to stop, also, especially at higher dosages. Seems advisable to try the combo at the lowest possible levels, hoping for improved mood and concentration and few side effects.
