Hello everyone
Today I went to my regular doc for a checkup and a follow up on blood tests that I have had. The nurse took my blood pressure and it was 140 over --- forgot the other number. Any way since I would be considered still a teenager the nurse was pretty alarmed. Could this be from the 3mg of Seligiline that I am taking??? I thought under 10mg's was supposed to be selective for only MAO B and therefore would'nt cause any blood pressure probs. Could 3mg build up so that after a while it would cause MAO A inhibition?
Also my doc told me that my TSH was high (6.8) meaning I may be hypothyroid. He gave a script for synthetic thyroid. So I'm wondering if I should start the thyroid hormone while I am still on selegiline, specifically because of the blood pressure problem? Do MAOI's and thyroid hormone MIX or is it a no no? If not how long should I wait for the selegiline to get out of my system before I try the synthroid? My Doc does't know that I am on Selegiline.
Thanks for any input in advance.*Dreaman
